SQUADS

Club night

All members of the Swans Swimming Club should attend on Club Night (Tuesday evenings). This is when notices on the notice board should be read and notes made of future events. The committee members will be available to give out forms. The coach can pass out relevant information on Tuesdays.

Squad swimmers

Squad swimmers are split into several groups based on the swimmer’s age, ability and commitment.

Cygnets

The cygnets should attend 3 to 4 sessions per week. The more sessions attended the greater the success for the swimmer. Cygnets become swans according to their age and ability. This is decided by the coach.

Swans

The swans should attend 4 to 5 sessions per week. The club needs all of its swimmers to reach the best possible standard, to allow all swimmers to compete at a high level.

Master Swimmers

Master swimmers are people aged 18 years and over who wish to compete competitively. Master swimmers are split into age bands 18-24 years, 25-29 years and so on, in 5 year bands.

The swans have a number of Master swimmers who compete at county and national level.

If you would like to know more about Masters contact Lynda Ashley-Davidson. For insurance purposes you will need to be a club member.
